My Winter Essentials

I decided to do a blog post on my Winter Essentials as my whole blog theme through December is Winter and Christmas themed so I really hope you enjoy this post and be sure to let me know what your Winter Essentials are in the comments below! There are many things that spring to mind when I think of Winter and I have gathered together lots of products and a few lifestyle bits and pieces I tend to use on a daily basis through Winter. I love the cold dark and cosy nights under my blanket watching Christmas films especially Home Alone, I've lost count on how many times I have watched it this month hehe but I still can't quite believe Christmas is in 10 Days?! Where has this month gone!
How cute is my new hat?! I love knitted bobble hats in Winter they're so snug and keep my ears lovely and warm, this hat is from ASOS. Watches are an essential for me all year around but I thought I would include my latest watch that I have added to my collection, this watch is from the Marc Bale collection, it's a gorgeous black leather strap watch with rose gold detailing, I'm obsessed! I will be doing a full review on this watch so keep an eye out for that. The lack of sleep and late night's I have around Christmas is pretty bad so I love to use a luxurious eye cream, here we have the Oskia Eye Wonder which I love!! Oskia skincare is one of my all time favourite brands, I absolutely love all their products I have tried and I have recently been using the Oskia Eye Wonder which is an absolute eye wonder. The Oskia Eye Wonder helps reduce dark circles, puffiness and increase radiance while also firming and tightening the eye area. I love products that actually show a visible difference after a few uses and that's exactly what the Oskia Eye Wonder does, my eyes feel less puffy and I feel like it instantly soothes and refreshes my under eye area.
One makeup look I am obsessed with around Winter and the Festive Season is a gold toned eyes and a medium to full coverage foundation which of course has to be my Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation. I have recently been obsessed with my Chanel quad palette which contains three stunning gold toned eye shadows along with a black shadow which is perfect to add along my lash line. I love a strong highlight around this time of the year which really stands out on my cheek bones, I have recently been using the Jelly Pong Pong highlighter which is a super pretty gold sparkly illuminator. When it comes to nails around this time of the year I would usually go for dark toned colours but I was recently sent a Nails Inc nail varnish in the shade 'Colville Mews' which is a gorgeous nude colour so on top I love to add my Ciate gold glitter polish which makes it look super festive and really pretty.
As much as I love Winter my skin really doesn't, I have to look after my hands a lot more and my face tends to get quite dry so face masks are one of my top essentials. I have recently been loving the Origins Retexturizing Mask with Rose Clay which is a two in one purifying mask and skin refiner that’s formulated with Canadian willowherb, Persian silk tree, and a potent blend of actives to smooth, refine pores, and boost skin’s overall quality. My skin feels super hydrated and refreshed after using the Origins mask. My skin looks more radiant and it is super soft and smooth to the touch. My Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream is absolutely amazing for a night moisturiser it's super hydrating and leaves my skin feeling healthier and super soft. The EA Eight Hour Cream is an amazing product all year around but especially in the Winter as it helps to soother dry patches, Chapped lips, Smoothes rough spots on your knees, feet and elbows and also softens cuticles.
I have slightly become obsessed with body scrubs. I have recently been using the Flora Bodycare Coconut Body Scrub, it smells incredible and it leaves my skin super soft to touch, I feel that my skin really benefit's from these types of product around this time of the year and I absolutely love how soft my skin feels after. Cold weather always drys out my skin especially my legs so after I've had my bath or shower I will moisturise my whole body, I have recently been using and loving the Reiss Luxury Body Souffle and the Comfort Zone Aromasoul Mediterranean Body Cream both are super hydrating and moisturise my skin while leaving it silky soft to touch.

My hair tends to get quite frizzy and dry in the Winter time so I love using luxury shampoo and conditioner quite regularly. I have recently been using the Alterna Caviar Moisture Intense Oil Crème Deep Shampoo and Conditioner which is ideal for dry to severely dry hair which is in need of removing dirt and oils without stripping moisture. I absolutely love the feel and look of my hair after I use the Alterna Caviar Moisture Intense Oil Crème range it feels super soft and has a lovely smooth finish. To keep my hair super moisturised and in good condition until my next hair wash I like to use the Percy & Reed Dry Conditioner. I simply spray a light layer all over my hair it doesn't leave a horrible residue behind, my hair feels moisturised and has a lovely shine to it.
Scarfs are my all time essential, so I have a slight obsession with scarfs and I've built up quite a collection. I love wrapping up warm with a thick woolly scarf and going for long walks in the park. I love having bath's in the Winter more so than showers, it gives me a chance to relax and use different bath oils and bubble baths. I without a doubt will be burning a candle whilst taking a bath and throughout the rest of the night. I have recently been obsessed with the Cocolux Sweet Pomegranate & Acai candle it smells divine and the packaging is absolutely stunning. In the day time I have been burning the Whiskey Wicks Walk in Forest Park candle which smells incredible and my whole house smells very fresh. There's nothing quite like relaxing with a lovely scented candle flickering away while tucked up watching Christmas films in cosy blankets, especially when it's super gloomy and freezing cold outside.

What are your Winter Essentials? I would love to know!

  8. Lovely favourites! Your hat is really cute indeed, it's a shame I don't like hats on me because they are so cool, especially when they have a big pompom on. Also you're making me want to get the Eight Hour Cream, it must be a good one as everybody brings it back for winter!
