A Weekend Detox

From time to time it's super important to make time for yourself and have a little detox. A relaxing day at the spa is something we all dream of doing at least once a month but that still rarely ever happens, this is why it's super important to treat yourself to a pamper night in or devote the whole entire weekend to yourself. Last week I took a trip to Sherwood Hideaway and had a super relaxing time and that's exactly what I had been in need of! Having time away from work and generally everyday life really helps to reset your mood and come back even more motivated than before. A weekend detox is just what I had been needing, pampering yourself and taking time out for JUST YOU feels absolutely great. Lighting a candle not only sets the mood with the ambient lighting and relaxing aroma but they smell divine too. I have recently been burning the Neal & Wold Elysian Indulgence candle which smells incredible, Neal & Wolf have recently launched their new home and spa collection, which is called Elysian. Meditation sessions are really helpful at clearing the mind and boosting energy levels. Neal & Wolf have put together a little guide on how to have a mini meditation session.
1. Take a minute to prepare the space in which you will meditate. Turn down the lights or draw the curtains closed.
2. Next light the Neal & Wolf Indulgence scented candle and take a seat where you feel most comfortable.
3. Adopt an upright position and ensure that your back is straight, chest is open dn shoulders are back.
4. Take three deep in and out breaths inhaling the heavily scent of mandarin and orange blossom to help prevent stress and tension.
5. Place one had on your chest and one hand on your stomach and continue to take deep breaths. On your next in breath ensure that you breathe out with you stomach. The hand on your chest needs to remain relatively still. This helps stead the rhythm of the heartbeat and leads the mind in to a peaceful meditative state.
6. Keep a light smile on your face, doing so will help boost energy levels. If your mind begins to wander, guide your attention back each time. Do so with kindness and gentleness. 
7. As you come close to the end of your meditation, don't be in a hurry to open your eyes. Open them slowly and gradually taking time to become aware of yourself and your surroundings. 
8. At this stage, our indulgence scented candle will have filled the room with floral aromas of lily, yang-ylang and orchid.
